📞 Call +1-844-578-1604 NowWQB Mold Removal is a Lake Elmo, MN-based remediation company built around one idea: tell the customer the truth about what's in their walls, then fix it properly the first time.
We staff our Lake Elmo crews with people who've handled crawl-space colonization, attic condensation mold, and post-flood contamination — not just cosmetic bathroom mildew.
We carry full liability coverage on every Lake Elmo job, and our dispatchers can usually get a technician on-site the same day a call comes in.
Ask any Lake Elmo property manager who's dealt with a bad remediation job and they'll tell you the same thing: the difference isn't the chemicals, it's whether the crew actually found and fixed the moisture source instead of just spraying the visible mold and leaving.
We also work directly with a network of Lake Elmo-area contractors when a job needs drywall replacement, plumbing repair, or roofing work after remediation is complete, so you're not left juggling three different companies.
Here's what our technicians hear most often right before a homeowner finally picks up the phone.
That earthy odor in a closet or crawl space is often the first real clue, long before anything is visible. Candles and air fresheners might mask it for an afternoon, but the smell almost always returns by the next day.
Any Lake Elmo property with a prior roof leak, burst pipe, or flooding event is at higher risk if the drying wasn't done professionally. If a previous restoration job skipped moisture readings before closing the walls back up, hidden growth can sit undetected for months.
Sneezing, coughing, or headaches that improve when you leave the house and return when you're back inside are a classic mold indicator. A pattern of symptoms tied to one specific room in the house is often the strongest clue of all.
Green, black, or gray speckling around windows, vents, or baseboards is often just the visible tip of a larger colony. Don't assume a small visible patch means a small problem — the portion behind the drywall is often much larger.
From a single bathroom to a flooded crawl space, our Lake Elmo crews scale the response to match the actual problem.
Our emergency teams arrive with containment barriers and air scrubbers ready to deploy the moment they walk in. We also photograph the damage extensively on arrival, which helps considerably if you end up filing an insurance claim afterward.
We isolate the affected area with plastic sheeting and negative air pressure so spores don't spread to the rest of your Lake Elmo home during the work. We'll also flag any structural repair the job needs and put you in touch with a trusted Lake Elmo tradesperson if it's outside our scope.
Our commercial crews coordinate with property managers on phased containment so parts of the building can stay operational during treatment. We're comfortable working evenings or weekends on commercial jobs when that's what keeps a Lake Elmo business running without interruption.
Lab results typically come back within a few business days, giving you documented proof of what was found. A written inspection report is available for real estate transactions, refinancing, or your own peace of mind about a Lake Elmo property.
Vapor barriers, sump discharge lines, and vent placement all factor into why crawl spaces in Lake Elmo, MN grow mold even in homes that look fine upstairs. We often find the crawl space is the real source of a musty smell upstairs, even in Lake Elmo homes where the visible living space looks perfectly clean.
Sealing, grading corrections, and ventilation upgrades often prevent the exact conditions that caused the original problem. A small investment in prevention is almost always cheaper than paying for the same remediation twice.
No surprises, no vague timelines — here's exactly what happens once you call +1-844-578-1604.
A quick phone conversation helps us bring the right equipment on the first visit instead of a second trip. Have a rough sense of when the problem started if you can — it helps us plan the visit.
This step tells us the true scope of contamination before we write a single number on a quote. You'll get a plain-language explanation of what we found before any decisions get made.
Negative air machines keep spores from traveling to unaffected rooms while the work is underway. We keep the work area as clean and orderly as the job allows throughout.
You'll get a written report you can keep for your records or share with an insurer. We'll also walk the space with you so nothing gets signed off without your input.
Our estimates are itemized line by line, which means you know exactly what you're paying for and why.
Dispatch times in Lake Elmo typically run same-day for active issues, because we staff enough local technicians to avoid the two-week backlog other companies run.
We hand you lab results and a written scope of work, giving you something concrete beyond our word.
And if something doesn't sit right after we leave, our satisfaction guarantee means we come back and make it right at no extra charge.
We also try to be upfront about what we can't fix on day one — if a Lake Elmo home has an underlying roof or plumbing issue causing repeat moisture intrusion, we'll say so plainly instead of quietly re-treating the same spot every year.
Word of mouth is still how most of our Lake Elmo, MN customers find us, which tells you something about how the last job usually goes.
We stand behind every remediation job with a written guarantee, not just a handshake, because your peace of mind matters as much as the finished work.

Answers to what Lake Elmo homeowners ask us most.
Response time depends on scheduling load, but same-day or next-morning arrival is typical for Lake Elmo, MN service areas. Weekend and holiday calls are still answered by our on-call dispatcher rather than routed to voicemail.
We quote the full scope up front after inspection, and that number doesn't change unless the scope does. If we discover additional damage once we open a wall, we'll stop and get your approval before doing any extra work or adding any cost.
Our on-call crew handles active flooding, sewage backups, and sudden mold discovery around the clock, including nights and weekends. We also coordinate directly with plumbers or roofers when the source of the water needs to be stopped before drying can even begin.
Testing typically takes a few business days, and you receive a written lab report with the results. We'll walk you through what the lab report actually means in plain terms, not just hand you a page of Latin names.
Some policies cover mold tied to a sudden pipe burst but exclude long-term humidity issues, so it's worth checking your specific policy language. Our detailed photo documentation and written scope of work are formatted to make the claims process as painless as possible.
Timeline depends on the square footage affected and whether structural materials need to be removed and replaced. We'll give you a realistic timeline estimate after the initial inspection rather than a generic number pulled from a brochure.
Anyone with asthma or mold sensitivities may want to arrange alternate accommodations during larger jobs, and we'll advise based on scope. We'll always tell you honestly if we think you should stay elsewhere rather than downplay it to keep the job simpler on our end.
Our containment and air scrubbing protocols are designed to protect the rest of the household while work is underway. Once we complete post-remediation testing and the numbers come back clean, the space is safe to use normally again.
Post-remediation testing confirms spore counts returned to normal, and our guarantee covers regrowth tied to our workmanship. We'll also give you practical advice on ventilation, dehumidifier use, or grading changes that can help prevent a repeat issue in your Lake Elmo property.
Our dispatcher can walk you through what an initial visit includes when you call to schedule. Even a phone consultation before scheduling can help you understand whether what you're seeing warrants a visit.
Remediation focuses on removing the active colony and correcting the moisture source so the environment no longer supports abnormal growth. Any company promising 100% mold removal is stretching the truth, since outdoor and indoor air both naturally carry some spore count.
Surface cleaning with bleach may remove visible staining but rarely reaches spores embedded in porous materials like drywall or subfloor. For small, non-porous surfaces a simple cleaning may be fine, but anything on drywall, wood, or carpet usually needs a professional look.
